  The Wealden Skills Centre is to close in August as a result of government cuts to vocational courses. Wealden Skills Centre is based at Brambleside on the Bellbrook Park Industrial Estate in Uckfield and it has been announced that its lease will not be renewed when it expires in the summer.   Students from UCTC were one of the winning teams in the recent BBC Schools Questions and Answers competition.    Over 800 schools made audio entries of around six minutes of political debate.
