    On the road on this soggy Wednesday......A26 : Road blocked northbound between Earwig Corner and A22 nothbound out of Lewes towards Uckfield, because of an accident, two cars and a lorry were involved. No-one is believed to have been hurt.

    Drivers have been warned to watch out for deer and take care when driving through the Ashdown Forest. East Sussex County Council (ESCC) has launched a poster campaign and issued a deer alert to drivers with a particular focus on the stretch of the A22 between Nutley and Forest Row. Food is scarce for deer at this time of the year which increases their movements and raises the risk of them crossing roads as they look for food sources....

    A potential road development plan in Uckfield could threaten the Uckfield to Lewes rail line, because the development runs through train tracked. Last month East Sussex County Council confirmed to transport minister and Lewes MP, Norman Baker that it had begun the process of planning to build a new road that goes over where the proposed track would run.
